Namibia is taking significant strides to strengthen its cybersecurity landscape by introducing new legislation to regulate data protection and cybercrime. The government, under the leadership of Minister of Information and Communication Technology Emma Theofelus, is finalizing the Data Protection and Cybercrime Bills while also revising the Communications Act to address the rapid advancements in technology.

Collaboration between government, industry and academia is necessary to drive research, development and the adoption of new technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement,” she said.
